In response to increasing criticism of the absence of President Biden from live in-person press availabilities, the White House announced that the president will host a live “Ask Me Anything” event for one hour starting at 2 a.m. EST Sunday, March 14th.
“President Biden is determined to have transparency in his administration, and this event is proof positive that he is committed to that goal. He will be taking questions from the press and the public via a special website set up just for this event,” said Press Secretary Psaki.
Some skeptics weren’t so sure.
“It’s odd that the president chose this particular date and time to hold his inaugural press conference,” said Jack Mehoff, longtime Biden critic. “There has to be a reason for the unusual timing. It wouldn’t surprise me to learn this is some kind of trick.”
