Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York has received the Hate Crime of the Month Award from the Racial Nationalist Party of America (RNPA) after the governor reportedly told Assemblyman Ron Kim (D-Queens) “you will be destroyed.”
“Asian Americans have reported 3,000 hate crimes against them since the beginning of the pandemic, and we only have 12 awards to give out every year,” said an RNPA spokesman. “But when Fredo’s brother threatens to destroy an Asian lawmaker … well, we still have 10 awards left.”
According to the New York Post, “Assemblyman Ron Kim — whose uncle died of the coronavirus in a nursing home — said Wednesday that he got a phone call from the fellow-Democrat governor on the night of Feb. 11 that quickly turned dark, with Cuomo ultimately warning, ‘You have not seen my wrath.'”
Kim said Cuomo threatened to “destroy” him “if he didn’t help contain the damage over the Cuomo administration’s cover-up of nursing home resident COVID-19 deaths,” reported the Post.
“I can tell the whole world what a bad person you are and you will be finished,” Cuomo reportedly said during the call. “You will be destroyed.”
The Racial Nationalist Party of America is located in Lockport, NY. It’s not clear if Gov. Cuomo will accept the award or threaten to destroy the RNPA.
