Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni, who won a sixth term in office this week after saying his rival would stage his own kidnapping on election day to “incite the public and cause violence,” has been named White House Communications Director for the incoming Biden administration.
“President Museveni’s masterful communications skills will be instrumental in changing the tone coming from the White House press room,” said Vice President Elect Kamala Harris. “And this is just further evidence that the Biden Harris administration will be the most transparent and inclusive in history.”
Museveni said he is honored to be involved in two of the “most cheating-free elections” in world history. “Anyone who says the election of President Biden or President Museveni was fraudulent will be reported to Twitter,” he said.
Museveni’s first challenge will be how to frame outgoing President Trump’s house arrest.
