House Democrats today declared America “null and void” after impeaching the first President of the United States.
The articles of impeachment included the charge that George Washington was a “domestic terrorist who overthrew the legitimate government of King George III,” and that he “colluded with a foreign power to wage an illegal insurrection against a sovereign nation.”
The Senate trial will only be a historical second, since it will be held after Joe Biden is sworn into office and after ex-president Donald Trump is duly convicted of aiding and abetting insurrection.
“We hereby declare America null and void,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after the House vote. “No president is above the law, not even the first one.”
