“Just like the Soviet Union did in World War II, we are living through a battle for the soul of this nation,” Biden said at the ceremony. “And just like Joseph Stalin, who put an end to the long fascist winter, Joe Biden has ended the dark night of fascism that was descending on the United States.”
Founded as the International Stalin Prize for Strengthening Peace Among Peoples, the award was renamed the International Lenin Prize for Strengthening Peace Among Peoples in 1956, after Nikita Krushchev (C-Vermont) denounced Stalin, UN colonialism, and demanded worldwide healthcare.
When asked about the first thing he would do after winning the prize, Biden said, “I’m going to Disney Shanghai.”
The Lenin Prize is primarily awarded to prominent Communists and supporters of Communism who are not Communists themselves. Notable recipients include: AOC, Nicolae Ceausescu, Kim Jong Undead, Nikita Krushchev, the Molotov Twins, Angela Davis, and Christian Szell.
