First he managed more than $3 trillion for the Chinese Communist Party. Then he was hired by the largest pension fund in the U.S. and purchased a controlling share of the Red Army. Then a U.S. Congressman said he “has ties to the #CCP” and demanded his resignation. Then he moved CalPERS money into investments that could benefit him personally.
Finally, Yu Ben Meng resigned, the Republican Congressman pounced, and CalPERS hired Hunter Biden.
“Who would want to replace a guy accused of being a tool of the Chinese Communist Party in a job that attracts more unwelcome attention than a Ukrainian natural gas company?” Hunter asked rhetorically on his first day at work.
“Why would I care? They’re paying me a million bucks.”
