If you’ve always wanted an original Picasso, Matisse, or Rothko but couldn’t afford it, now is your chance. The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is giving away its entire collection of ethnically white art.
“We thought San Francisco was non-racist, but we’ve been harboring white supremacists,” said SFMOMA President Harriet Burden, an artist in her own right who just happens to be white. “What we need now is nothing short of an ethnic art cleansing.”
The cleansing comes after curator Gary Garrels became the fifth museum staff member to step down amidst accusations of racism and white supremacy.
The art giveaway will be held on July 18-19 at the SFMOMA Museum Store, 151 Third Street, San Francisco, CA 94103.
“Given our history of using black pain for financial gain, we’re not sure how many people want white art anymore,” said Burden, “so we’ve scheduled two full days for the giveaway.”
I can’t… Be sure…. That this is fake….
