Biden’s one-drop rule: Malik Obama ‘can prove how black he is by voting for me’

Joe Biden backed off his statement that anyone who votes for Donald Trump “ain’t black” after being reminded by his staff that Barack Obama’s brother voted for Trump.

“Yeah, I really did tell a black man that if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” Biden said.

But Biden said he would make an exception for Malik because “the other Obama might be a little black, but just a smidgen,” before he doubled down on “ain’t black.”

“Yeah, Malik voted for Trump in 2016, and he may have one drop of support for Trump in 2020, but he can prove just how black he is by voting for me,” Biden said.

Malik Obama, who is a U.S. citizen and has lived in Washington since 1985, voted for Trump in 2016 and has an active Twitter account which regularly mocks Joe Biden. He also runs the Barack H. Obama Foundation.
