“Our research clearly indicates that the only way forward to 100% belief in women and science by all people is to ensure that all women are scientists,” said lead scientist Karl Darwin.
“There are limits to relying on ‘believe all women’ as an organizing principle, but just imagine if all women were scientists,” Darwin said. “Of course, I’m not suggesting that all scientists should be women, that would be absurd even if it takes total belief down to 97%.”
The double-blind experiment conducted at UCLA found that only 32% of people believe men about anything, but 47% believe all male scientists. Those numbers rose to 51% and 83% for women, and 100% when the women were astronauts.
