The Chinese Communist Party has expelled journalists working for the New York Times, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal for daring to compare U.S. President Donald Trump to President Xi Jinping.
“American reporters triggered indignation among the Chinese people with outrageous claims that Donald Trump is a true dictator,” said Geng Shuang, spokesman for China’s ministry of foreign affairs.
“President Trump sends many tweets, but when strong action is needed only President Xi knows how to stop coronavirus, end Islamic radicalism, and fix toxic culture of social media,” Geng said at the press conference informing journalists of the expulsion.
“President Xi also puts China first,” he said. “Trump is a poser. Out of China, media Nazis!”
Geng also said all of China demands an apology, and that if American newspapers want true Socialism they must demand that Trump investigate and punish the journalists responsible for the insult.
