Barack Obama: ‘Stop reading my book that says Democrats sell our souls for a Christmas turkey’

Washington, DC (Bloomberg) — Former President Barack Obama issued an ultimatum yesterday, demanding that everyone stop reading his 1995 memoir, “Dreams from My Father,” and stop admitting the “despicable” truth that “Democrats will vote a straight Democratic and sell our souls for a Christmas turkey.”

Obama spokeswoman Katie Hill said “the memoir contains disinformation clearly designed to suppress turnout among minority voters” and should be “removed from all stores immediately” and that “any Democrat who owns a copy should immediately burn it in their backyard.”

PolitiFact found that the offensive “disinformation” in the memoir is a quotation about Democrats in Mr. Obama’s hometown of Chicago who knew that black people have “the worst jobs” and “the worst housing” while “police brutality [is] rampant” but “when the so-called black committeemen came around election time, we’d all line up and vote the straight Democratic ticket. Sell our souls for a Christmas turkey.”

Hill said that “if Democrats don’t bow to Mr. Obama’s ultimatum, he will take his Presidential Library and go home to Hawaii.”
