Canadian rock star Neil Young became a U.S. citizen yesterday, immediately denounced America, and said he was moving to Canada.
“I’m happy to report I’m in, and that I’m moving to Canada!” said the 74-year-old Young, who was born in Canada but has spent the last 54 years hating America while living in Los Angeles.
Young supported Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in the 2016 Democratic primary, and said it’s “time for a reckoning” with Donald Trump, whom Young called an “unfit leader.”
“Now that I’m an American I’ll be able to vote my conscience on Donald J. Trump from the safety of Canada,” Young said.
