Tulsi Gabbard is suing Hillary Clinton for defamation after Clinton indicated she thinks the Hawaii congresswoman is a Russian plant in the 2020 presidential race.
“What, like a fern?” Clinton responded. “Russia is the largest country on earth, covering an area of 6,592,800 square miles in three distinct climate regions. I flew to all of them when I was Secretary of State.”
The complaint states that “Gabbard, a U.S. Representative for Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district, asserts that Clinton deliberately and maliciously made false statements in an attempt to derail Rep. Gabbard’s campaign, by alleging that Gabbard is a ‘Russian asset.'”
It also says that Clinton called her a plant in retaliation for Gabbard’s endorsement of Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Democratic primary.
Allegedly, Clinton has “never forgotten this perceived slight,” states the complaint. “And in October 2019, she sought retribution by lying, publicly and loudly, about Tulsi Gabbard.”
“Tulsi should be happy I didn’t call her a Dagestanian Spleenwort,” Clinton said.
