New York (Reuters) — Satan’s ambassador to the United Nations reassured Congressional Democrats early this morning that U.S. President Donald Trump is wrong about the late Congressman John Dingell (D-MI) and Democrats are right about impeachment.
“The King of Babylon can categorically state that Rep. Dingell is not here,” the ambassador said in a tweet from Hades followed by the hashtag “Impeach45”.
Trump incurred Satan’s wrath at a campaign rally in Battle Creek, Mich.
“Maybe he’s looking up, I don’t know,” Trump said of the late Dingell. “Maybe. Maybe. But let’s assume he’s looking down.”
Dingell (1926-2019) was a WWII veteran who represented Michigan from 1955 to 2015 who once told Trump to “go to hell.” His wife Debbie Dingell now sits in Congress.
Correction: In a Freudian slip, Satan originally said Trump was “right about impeachment.” He blamed us for the error and demanded a correction. We abjectly agreed. Please forgive us.
