Report: Turn map of Maryland’s 7th district upside down, it plays ‘Back in the USSR’

The Baltimore Sun reported today that U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings had died early in the morning from longstanding health problems, and that his House seat will remain vacant until someone is elected.

“Gov. Larry Hogan has 10 days to issue a proclamation stating that a special primary election and a special general election will be held to fill the vacancy,” said the report.

But bigger news came later in the story when reporter Lillian Reed discovered that turning the 7th District map upside down caused it to play the Beatles tune “Back in the USSR.”

The Sacramento Brie attempted to confirm the report, but Ms. Reed did not immediately reply on Russia’s biggest messaging app.
