Iowa City (Reuters) — Great white sharks haven’t been seen in the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Town, South Africa, for 18 months, and CNN has reported that President Trump privately floated plans last year to use the apex predators to execute white supremacists before the 2020 election.
“Neo-Nazis and white nationalists should be condemned totally,” Trump reportedly told White House staff before suggesting that the U.S. Navy round up all South African sharks and deliver them to American aquatic parks.
“It is unclear if Trump literally wants to execute Nazi children with sharks,” said CNN’s Jim Acosta, “but he’s capable of anything.”
Joe Biden hit back hard today, saying Trump would “do something, anything” to raise his slumping job-approval ratings.
“You attack racism, you embarrass it, you put people in jail who engage in it,” said Biden. “Most of all, you call them out to our children because silence is complicity. But Americans don’t feed white supremacists to sharks. That’s not who we are.”
White supremacist leader Clayton Bigsby punched back twice as hard as Biden, condemning the president as a “hater” who “wants children to die.”
According to CNN, officials from Cape Town said they “don’t know” why the sharks have disappeared, but if Trump is feeding neo-Nazis to them “we’re okay with that.”
