Nearly two years after the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was ordered to stop using one of the most feared races in the universe to exterminate homeless people, police in Southern California are using them to halt street crime forever.
In December 2017, San Francisco officials ordered the SPCA to stop vaporizing the homeless or face a penalty of up to $1,000 per day. But that was before bubonic plague and typhus started appearing in municipal offices all over California.
“Los Angeles can allow its police officers to contract typhus if they want,” said Huntington Park Police spokeswoman Jodie Whittaker. “We just don’t have the budget to deal with that, so we hired the Daleks.”
Armed with a variety of weapons, the cyborgs are just the latest in a growing stable of robots employed by local governments. But the ACLU is suing to stop them.
“We get the need for total conformity and extermination of inferior species,” said an ACLU spokesman. “That’s why we want President Trump impeached and Democratic Socialists to take over the country.”
“We’re very much in favor of death with dignity,” added the spokesman, “but we just can’t allow people to be vaporized in the public right-of-way unless the euthanasia robot gets their affirmative consent.”
