The UK is celebrating economic victory today after Prime Minister Theresa May announced a new Islamic SUV manufacturing plant will take over the Honda auto factory at Swindon, creating or saving at least 3,500 jobs.
Honda, which is evacuating the UK in favor of home soil, currently makes one in every 10 cars made in the British Isles. But the Muslim sports-utility vehicle market has exploded in recent years, and keeping Swindon open will ensure that thousands more jobs in the supply chain and associated businesses won’t be lost.
The new company, Islamic SUV’s in Swindon (ISIS), expects to ship more than 1 million units in the first year, capturing a growing segment of the European vehicle market.
Models that feature armor plating will be out of reach for most Britons, but all versions will have a compass for finding Mecca and compartments designed to fit headscarves and copies of the Koran.
