Julian Assange, a political dissident granted asylum by Ecuador in 2012, has announced that he will travel by caravan from Ecuadoran soil in London to Los Angeles International Airport.
Newly-minted Governor Gavin Newsom has promised a “wall” to keep out the “enemy immigrant.” It is unclear whether Gov. Newsom was referring to a physical or metaphorical wall.
“People don’t get to identify as political dissidents just because they want to come to America,” said Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Los Angeles). “If Assange does cross the border illegally, we will deport him to Ecuador.”
This is a developing story.
