A record number of people have been shot and wounded during “The Purge Election Year” events in Democratic Party strongholds around the country, police said, but no fatalities have been reported.
Based on the 2016 film that won “Favorite Thriller” at the 2017 People’s Choice Awards, the events feature the intersection of popular Progressive themes such as political violence, random murder, anarchy, revolution, sacrifice, and sins against the state.
Police say the shootings were accidental and unexpected, and have nothing to do with the Leftist rage that swept the country after President Trump’s 2016 election.
Eric Holder, former Attorney General under President Obama, said the shootings come in the context of an increasing Republican toxicity in our politics.
“If they go low, we kick them, threaten to bomb the White House, and publish presidential assassination porn in the New York Times,” Holder said. “But it should be a wake-up call to Americans to insist that their leaders restore civility to our dialogue — after The Purge.”
Democratic Party Resistance spokesman Yalgo Effurself blamed President Trump.
“We need The Purge because Trump is an illegitimate fascist whose refusal to accept the 2016 election results threatens democracy,” he said. “Hillary is the real president, and we can’t be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what we stand for.”
When asked what Democrats stand for and why they’re accidentally shooting each other, Effurself said the Democratic Party is “anti-gun, anti-Electoral College, anti-Supreme Court, anti-fash, and anti-Israel” and that “activists made an honest mistake by bringing guns to the wrong knife fights.”
