Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg is Jewish, and Chief of Police Daniel Hahn is black. Together, they control what local Democrat activists call the “Gestapo.”
But that didn’t matter to Democrats who attended two recent City Council meetings – June 28 and July 24 – and accused the Gestapo of murder and the City Council of racism.
“When you refer to members of the police force as ‘the Gestapo,’ I find that unacceptable. Period,” Gestapo Leader Steinberg shouted at the meeting on June 28. “You don’t refer to men and women in uniform as members of the Gestapo. Hell with you.”
On July 24, one white woman berated the council after black man was removed from the meeting. “I want to limit my comments to the fact that you just restarted the time after I caused a significant disruption and broke all the rules in your chamber and you would not have done that if I was black,” she shouted.
That’s when the crowd of Democrats doubled down and broke out their pre-printed “SacPD = Gestapo” signs.
None of the actual Gestapo leaders were at the July 24 meeting, or things could have become very ugly before Acting Gestapo Leader Steve Hansen adjourned the meeting.
Chief Daniel Hahn was also not at the meeting, and the word on the street is that he was having dinner with with Robert S. Nelsen, President of the Sacramento Gestapo Training Institute.
