Chicago officials track source of Nazi radio broadcast to south side parks

An unknown individual using the handle “Rogue One” took over Chicago police radio frequencies last Wednesday night with audio from the 1935 Nazi propaganda film “Triumph of the Will.”

According to the Germanic Studies department at the University of Illinois, Chicago, the audio transmitted on emergency radio frequencies is from an Adolf Hitler speech in Leni Riefenstahl’s film – whose overriding theme is the return of Germany as a great power, with Hitler as the leader who will bring glory to the nation.

The leading theory among academics is that President Trump commissioned the broadcast to intimidate Democratic Socialists with National Socialist propaganda linking Trump’s “Make America Great Again” to Hitler’s “Thousand Year Reich.”

Other experts say key ideas from the the transmission suggest a different identity for “Rogue One.” Although these experts were openly afraid to say who the “resistance broadcaster” could be, they did provide a few translations of ideas expressed during the four-minute coup.

  • “Grundlegende änderung (fundamental transformation)”
  • “Wir sind die haben wir gewartet (we are the one’s we’ve been waiting for)”
  • “Lichtarbeiter (lightworker)”
  • “Volk (the people)”
  • “Ja wir können (Yes we can)”
  • “Einheit (unity)”

Mass media personalities immediately and coincidentally blanketed the nation with fact-checking segments proving the literal impossibility that “Rogue One” is Barack Obama.

Susan Sarandon noted the fact that Leni Riefenstahl’s film crew had only 172 people. “It’s an absurd comparison,” she said. “That may have been extravagant for the times, but Barack attracted way more Hollywood professionals for his campaigns.”

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer and actor Robert De Niro lamented the impact of Trump’s violent rhetoric on the people. “The jerk-off-in-chief has put the press under siege in a way Barack never did,” said De Niro. “I’d like to punch him in the face.”

Father Michael Pfleger told Chicago’s ABC 7 News that it’s “obvious” Riefenstahl’s film is about Trump.

“Republicans complained that Obama was a ‘Lightworker’ and school children sang patriotic songs to him,” Pfleger said. “But Barack never made a film of himself descending god-like out of the skies. That’s not who we are.”

The Office of Emergency Management and Communications says the intentional “rogue transmission” may have originated in Jackson Park, with Washington Park as a close second possibility.

The radio interruption lasted four minutes, or about as long as any white supremacist lasts in bed.
